Pratt Industries announced today the passing of its former Deputy CEO Mike Harwood, one of the most respected leaders in the global paper and packaging industry.
Mike, 71, died peacefully at his home Sunday in Marietta, Ga. after a bout with cancer, surrounded by his family including his beloved wife of many years, Renie.
Company chairman Anthony Pratt said he was deeply saddened by the news of Mike's passing, and remembered him as "a giant of the industry."Read more
BELOIT, WI, Feb. 20, 2015 (Local News) -The Pratt Industries project in Beloit has changed location after the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources wanted to do its own study on the site to ensure protection of wetlands.
City Manager Larry Arft said the site did have wetlands to the north of the railroad, but the land Pratt wanted to use has been a farm field for over 100 years, and isn't a wetland. However, the DNR believed the land fit the definition in state statute of a wetland, Arft said.Read more
