VANTAA, Finland, March 10, 2014 (Press Release) -Klabin has awarded Pöyry with the assignment for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services for a relevant part of the Balance of Plant (BOP) at the Puma Project in Brazil. Pöyry will start statutory employee negotiations in Finland in industry related business units of the Regional Operations and the Industry Business Group. These negotiations are aimed at reducing the overall capacity by approximately 200 people including layoffs and permanent reductions of some 25 people. The purpose of the negotiations is to adjust the capacity in Finland to the current market situation.
Ongoing client projects will not be impacted by these adjustment measures.Read more
Pöyry has been awarded an assignment by Lwarcel Celulose, a Lwart Group company, for basic engineering and logistics studies for the expansion of its pulp mill at Lençóis Paulista, São Paulo. Lwarcel had earlier engaged Pöyry's services in the conceptual and pre-feasibility analysis for the project.Read more
Pöyry`s Energy business group has been awarded an engineering contract by UPM for the Schongau mill site in Germany. The order has been booked in the first quarter order book and the parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the assignment.Read more
