OFTRINGEN, Switzerland, May 24, 2017 (Press Release) -Omya and Ittihad Paper Mill L.L.C in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, have signed a cooperation agreement for the manufacture of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC). Ittihad Paper Mill will be producing high-quality printing and writing paper grades for the domestic and export markets.
The new onsite PCC plant is scheduled to start production in Q3/2018 with an initial capacity of 100,000 dry metric tons per year. The PCC produced will be based on the Omya Multifill concept to maximize the filler level in the paper sheet.Read more

The new onsite PCC plant is scheduled to start production in Q3 2015 with a capacity of 45,000 dry metric tons per year. The plant will supply PCC fillers optimized for uncoated woodfree paper production and intends to use the Omya Multifill® concept to maximize the calcium carbonate level in the paper sheet.Read more
