NEW DELHI, April 20, 2015 (The Hindu Business Line) - Fair trade watchdog CCI has cleared the proposed merger between US companies MeadWestvaco Corp and Rock-Tenn Company after finding that the deal is not likely to adversely impact competition in the Indian market.
Rock-Tenn is into packaging solutions as well as manufactures container board and paperboard. MeadWestvaco provides corrugated packaging solutions and speciality chemicals for automotive and other industries. Both entities are present in India.
Th venture will ship 1 million pounds of product each day both domestically and internationally through the Port of Charleston, the companies announced this week.Read more
