VIENNA, June 30, 2016 (Press Release) -Successful conversion of the smaller board machine 2 (BM2) at MMK mill Kolicevo, Slovenia – for the benefit of product quality, productivity and environment.
In March 2016, the conversion of the wet end of the BM2 into a state-of-the-art 3-layer Fourdrinier machine was successfully completed on schedule. Additional investments were related to the renewal of vacuum systems and multiple drive units that enable a higher speed and thus improve the productivity of BM2 and work even more energy efficient.Read more

The migration of mineral oil components from paperboard packaging materials into various foodstuffs in particular has been investigated in detail, reflecting a growing concern in Europe and resulting in a number of calls from NGOs for EU-wide regulation, functional barriers to separate food from packaging and/or allowable limits for the chemicals in question.Read more
