SAO PAULO, Sept. 24, 2019 (PPI Latin America) -Brazilian pulp and packaging paper producer Klabin developed a new biodegradable tray for fruits and vegetables made of corrugated board, which ensures the integrity of products during transport, storage and at store shelves. According to the company, the product was developed to respond to a call for new sustainable packaging that can substitute single-use materials usually made of plastic and styrofoam.

Read moreSAO PAULO, Aug. 13, 2019 (Press Release) -Klabin, Brazil’s largest packaging paper producer and exporter, won today (Aug. 13) the public bid for the warehouse at the Port of Paranaguá in Paraná. At the auction, held at the headquarters of B3 in São Paulo, the company obtained access to an area measuring 27,530 m2 for 25 years, with the possibility of renewal for another 45 years. Investments totaling around R$130 million are planned and operations are scheduled to start in 2022.

Stora Enso said it would eliminate coated printing and writing output at its Oulu mill in Finland by September 2020 and convert one machine, the No. 7, by December 2020 to making 450,000 tonnes/yr of kraft linerboard. Stora Enso said PM No. 7's new output "will target global export markets."

The order value for ANDRITZ is in the range of approx. 190 million euros. Start-up has been scheduled in the second quarter of 2021.
