BRUSSELS, Oct. 18, 2013 (RISI) - Ilim Group has received an order from the office of the Bratsk public prosecutor to install a back-up flare burner at its Bratsk pulp and paper mill to ensure that toxic emissions are burned in the event of a shutoff of the main equipment.
This follows an accident at the mill on September 11 when odor emissions were discharged into the atmosphere during an unexpected temporary shutdown of Bratsk's cogeneration plant.Read more

The Koryazhma Mill of OJSC Ilim Group is implementing an investment project to rebuild recovery boiler No. 6 at the thermal power station.
The aim of this project is to increase the efficiency and improve environmental performance of the equipment. Over USD 22 million was allocated by the Company for these purposes.Read more

The Ust-Ilimsk Mill completed implementation of an investment project aimed to upgrade the first bark boiler in the mill's PPP boiler turbine shop and ensure stable operation of the equipment. RUB 40 million was allocated for these purposes.
As part of this project, new equipment was installed and existing equipment was repaired. Among new equipment purchased for the Ust-Ilimsk Mill is a horizontal air heater which will help to improve the quality of cleaning of boiler heating surfaces.Read more
