ESPOO, Finland, Feb. 27, 2017 (Press Release) -Hayat Kimya's Tissue Machine (TM6) started up at the company's new mill in Egypt in mid-January. It marked sixth successful start-up based on the same team from Valmet and Hayat Kimya working together in cooperation. Valmet has previously installed five new machines and provided an extensive rebuild of Hayat's TM1 in Izmit, in Turkey. Hayat Kimya's new Advantage DCT 200TS tissue line, PM5, was started up in March 2015 by a joint Valmet and Hayat Kimya team. The new line, at the Mersin mill in Turkey, came smoothly on stream according to schedule and produced sellable paper from the very start.
This was the second start-up for the same team in three months, as Hayat Kimya's PM4 at the new Alabuga mill in Tartarstan, Russia was started up in December 2014. The time schedule was very tight but the paper was on reel as expected with good paper properties.Read more
BRUSSELS, Dec 9, 2014 (RISI) - The Turkish tissue producer Hayat Kimya has started commissioning a 70,000 tonne/yr tissue machine at its new mill in Yelabuga in Tatarstan, Russia. The company has set December 15 as an estimated startup date, paper group director Lütfi Aydin told RISI.
The machine, supplied by Valmet, has a width of 5.6 m and a design speed of 2,200 m/minute. It will produce facial, napkin, toilet and towel tissue from virgin fiber.
