ELIZABETH CITY, NC, Jan. 12, 2017 (Local News) -The Port of Virginia will be investing nearly three-quarters of a $1 billion this year to upgrade two terminals in the Hampton Roads area — a move that could eventually pay dividends for northeastern North Carolina, a port official said Wednesday.
Aaron Ouellette, an economic development specialist for the port, told members of the Albemarle Committee of 100 that the $739 million will help expand part of the Norfolk International Terminals and the Virginia International Gateway.Read more

CHARLOTTE, NC, June 3, 2016 (Charlotte Business Journal) -Domtar Corp., a pulp and paper company, recently signed a five-year lease for 216,320 square feet at Ridge Creek West I, at 10225 Western Ridge Road. The company relocated from General Drive, where it was leasing space from a third-party logistics provider, according to James Atkinson, director of Domtar's warehouse operations.
