ESPANOLA, MI, Aug. 21, 2018 (Local News) -Espanola council is supporting the Huron Central Railway in its efforts to secure government funding to continue to provide a short line rail service.
Council passed the resolution at a special meeting on July 31.
The resolution was preceded by a presentation by Councillor Bill Foster who represented Espanola at a meeting in Sault Ste. Marie on July 25.
The meeting came about after HCR announced it would close the railway between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie at the end of 2018.Read more
