Warren, the UK's leading independent carton & graphical board and paper stockist, has announced that BillerudKorsnäs White cartonboard has been used to tremendous effect to provide a packaging solution for Innis & Gunn's limited edition Highland Ale.
Stocked and distributed in the UK exclusively by Warren since 2000, BillerudKorsnäs White cartonboard is the flagship cartonboard of the Swedish packaging producer, with its usage ideal for luxury brand packaging due to its combination of strength, shape ability and printability.
Innis & Gunn have discovered over time that the key to imparting the great depth of flavour into their products lies in finding a perfect match between beer and the oak that they choose. After that, it's a rare combination of the brewers' time-served expertise and the patience and respect they have for the mystical process of oak maturation. Given the pride they take in producing their product, they wanted to ensure the packaging for it exhibited the same high standards and wanted a perfect match between the board and their product.
It was with this in mind that they worked with British carton converter, Quantum Print & Packaging, and together with Warren came up with the design idea and product that would provide both the stand out shelf appeal and protection needed.
Commenting on why BillerudKorsnäs White cartonboard was the product of choice, Quantum's Joint Managing Director, Giles Foden, said, "Not only did we need a board with good strength and rigidity, but the product had to be versatile enough to allow the sort of reverse side printing demanded on this job. I would also like to credit Innis and Gunn for having the imagination to use this particular design to deliver the maximum impact."
Commenting on the impact of BillerudKorsnäs White on this job, Warren Managing Director, Kieran Ferguson, stated, "It really doesn't surprise me at all. BillerudKorsnäs White is well known for providing a high quality solution in both the packaging and graphical markets and I'm delighted both Quantum and Innis & Gunn have found the product to be an ideal choice."
