BASF recently gained a further TÜV certificate (DIN Certco) for the previously certified compostable adhesive Epotal® ECO. This new certification confirms that the whole adhesive system, consisting of Epotal ECO and the corresponding curing agent, fulfills the evaluation criteria for compostable materials as outlined in the European Standard 13432.

Effective July 1, 2011, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices by 10% for coating additives sold into the paper and paperboard markets in the United States, Canada and Mexico. This includes its Sterocoll®, Calsan®, Curesan® , Polysalt® , Dispex®, and Foambrake® coating additive products.
The price adjustments are necessary due to significantly increased raw material costs.
