HELSINKI, May 16, 2018 (Press Release) -Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has concluded a deal with Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper (RAPP) to supply three Kalmar SmartPower rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) for its container yard at the Port of Buatan in Indonesia. The order was booked in Cargotec's 2018 first quarter order intake and delivery is scheduled to take place towards the end of Q4 2018.

Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Rapp), the operational unit of Singapore-based pulpwood company Asia Pacific Resources International (April), said on Thursday it would adjust the plan, which governs its daily operations, to meet Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF) directives.

RAPP, the operational unit of Asia Pacific Resources International, lodged a suit at PTUN on Nov. 16 against a reprimand letter issued by the ministry which voided the company’s current 10-year business plan.

"I have seen key points in their revised work plans. They have complied with the government regulations on peat protection," Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya told reporters in Jakarta.

RAPP was told to revise its 10-year business plan before Oct. 30 to comply with the government's new peatland ecosystems protection framework, a senior official from the ministry said.
