JAKARTA, Dec. 22, 2017 (Local News) -An Indonesian administrative court on Thursday (Dec 21) rejected a petition by a major Indonesian pulp and paper company that challenged a government decision to void the firm's 10-year business plan.
Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Rapp), the operational unit of Singapore-based pulpwood company Asia Pacific Resources International (April), said on Thursday it would adjust the plan, which governs its daily operations, to meet Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF) directives.Read more

JAKARTA, Dec. 12, 2017 (Local News) -The Indonesian government is quietly confident it will win a lawsuit against Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper, or RAPP, currently on trial at the Jakarta State Administrative Court, or PTUN, a senior official at the Environment and Forestry Ministry said on Monday.

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Oct. 27, 2017 (Press Release) -The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) appointed KPMG Performance Registrar Inc. (KPMG PRI) to assess APRIL’s implementation of the Sustainable Forest Management Policy 2.0 that was launched in June 2015.
In response to the assessment report that was issued in December 2016, APRIL developed Action Plans to address KPMG PRI’s findings, which included three non-conformances and 28 opportunities for improvement.
