VERONA, Italy, Aug. 31, 2013 (Press Release) -ABK Group is proud and glad to announce it was awarded the order of a new testliner machine, 1,250 m/min speed and 6 meter width by an important Customer whose name, at this point in time, cannot yet be disclosed.
Following the successful conclusion of the negotiations led by the Client and ABK Italia management teams in Verona in July 2013, this order secures the objective of ABK Group to continue growing as a leading manufacturer and supplier of big-size paper machines, partnering the world's most important Customers with their new projects.
The scope of supply of the new order will comprise a high speed lightweight packaging paper machine, featuring two Fourdrinier wires, a Triple nip press section with shoe press module, complete dryer section with single and double felted dryer groups, size press, soft calender and reel.
A winder will also be delivered with an automatic jumbo reel transfer system from reel to unwinder.
In the scope of ABK's supply there is as well a complete set of ancillary systems: hood and ventilation, steam & condensate, MCS, mechanical drives, and capital and operational spares.
The entire scope of supply of this machine shall be fabricated 100% in Europe, the majority of it manufactured directly by the group's divisions at the ABK facilities in Italy and France.
Furthermore, ABK has been given the task of supplying complete engineering of the new production line: detailed equipment lay-out, and all detailed piping engineering drawings included in the paper machine hall enclosure.
The machine is scheduled to be completely delivered by December 2014 and started-up by April 2015.
Adding to the recent reference at the greenfield mill of Guanhao in China, with the 5.5 meter wide fine paper machine running at 1,250 m/min speed, 7 m wide kraftliner rebuild in Asia Pacific region this new wide and fast machine order confirms ABK Group's strong growth forecast, building on trust and capability and delivering an improved offering of best quality products to customers throughout the world.
