SAVANNAH, GA, Nov. 4, 2011 (Savannah Morning News) -Jacksonville-based Arizona Chemical, a leading bio-refiner of pine chemicals, plans to add significant capacity to its adhesives product lines to support its global growth strategy, the company announced Thursday.

The expansion, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2012, will include the addition of a new reactor and finishing line at the company's Savannah plant to produce rosin esters to supply the global adhesives market. Rosin esters are adhesive tackifiers used in a wide range of polymers.

The company declined to disclose its financial investment in the expansion. Spokesman Kenneth Lauffer said such disclosure could compromise proprietary information.
