NEWTON FALLS, NY, April 23, 2010 (Watertown Daily Times) -Newton Falls Fine Paper could be the first commercial plant to use a breakthrough technology that turns waste into ethanol.

"It's a possibility. It's well down the road," said Donald H. Schnackel, vice president of finance and administration. "It's new technology that's only been proven in the lab."

Woodland Biofuels, Mississauga, Ontario, plans to begin construction soon on a demonstration plant of its patented next-generation gassification technology that turns wood and agricultural waste into a range of products that can include ethanol.
