STELLARTON, NS, Nov. 15, 2013 (Chronicleherald.ca) -Natural gas is heading to Abercrombie Point, but it won't be going to New Glasgow or Stellarton until large consumers are signed up in those towns.

Paul Hawkes, executive account manager for Heritage Gas Ltd., met with the Pictou County Chamber of Commerce on Thursday to drum up a few more customers.

"Right now we don't have a solid commitment from the (Aberdeen) Hospital or Michelin," said Hawkes. "We're in talks with them, but gas won't be coming to New Glasgow until we have a commitment."
