ARNSBERG, Germany, April 30, 2021 (Press Release) -Protecting the environment and reducing the carbon footprint – that is the ambition of the entire WEPA Group.

Thanks to an innovation at the Piechowice site, we are getting closer to this goal: since the beginning of the new year, the plant has been powered entirely by green electricity.

Green electricity is not generated from fossil fuels such as gas or coal, it comes from sustainable, eco-friendly sources such as the sun, water or wind. This switch to green electricity is a very direct way to effectively reduce one’s own CO2 emissions.

However, our environmental goals are not only important for the future of the planet, but also for us as a company – they contribute to our long-term sustainable direction.

That is why we take many different measures at all our WEPA sites: we use recycled raw materials in the production of tissue paper, employ new & efficient technologies and reduce waste wherever possible.

Our actions show that we take our responsibility towards people and the environment very seriously.
