SYRACUSE, NY, Oct. 29, 2021 (Syracuse.com) -New York’s ban on polystyrene foam food packaging doesn’t go into effect until January, but for many companies, the switch to other materials is well under way.
A mix of alternatives is replacing the foam.
McDonald’s, for example, eliminated foam packaging in 2018. Over 80% of the chain’s packaging now comes from fiber-based sources. The rest is made from plastic.
