The supply covers a new recovery boiler and an upgrade of the existing evaporator with a new super concentrator. The contract is conditional for Metsä Board making the final investment decision after receiving the environmental permit, which is estimated for the second quarter of 2020, at the earliest.

GREEN BAY, WI, Nov. 25, 2019 (Press Release) -Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), part of Barry-Wehmiller, has announced that the redesigned pivot arm on the Omnia embosser-laminator significantly decreases changeover time and reduces the risks inherent to overhead roll removal. The new design will be standard on all Omnias sold, effective immediately. This pivot arm also is available as an aftermarket modification for existing machines in the field.

CN strike not impacting operations at Squamish, BC, port – yet; pulp primary commodity

SQUAMISH, BC, Nov. 25, 2019 (Local News) -The week-old strike at CN hasn't greatly impacted operations at theSquamish Terminals, at least not yet.

"At this point in time, it is not impacting us," terminal manager Paul Morris told The Chief on Monday afternoon.

The port is loading trucks with steel products and has the ability to receive pulp, which is the primary commodity it receives on CN, by truck.

CN labor negotiations update – union declines company proposal for voluntary binding arbitration

MONTREAL, Nov. 25, 2019 (Press Release) -CN would like to update you on the negotiations with the union, which represents approximately 3,200 of CN employees working as train conductors and railyard coordinators in Canada.

Negotiations continued through the weekend and CN remains committed to working closely with the federal mediators in order to reach a fair agreement.
