Valmet to supply BCTMP plant conversion, slab press and conveyor systems for Estonian Cell's pulp mill in Estonia

ESPOO, Finland, Aug. 9, 2018 (Press Release) -Valmet has received an order from Estonian Cell which will be delivered in two stages. In the first stage, Valmet will supply a conversion of the existing bleached chemi-thermomechanical pulp plant, which will increase production and reduce steam, fresh water and chemical consumption. In the second stage, Valmet will deliver a slab press and conveyor systems with connecting control system. The new machinery will boost production capacity and make the line more cost-efficient. The second stage will increase the annual production volume.

Australian Paper starts annual, four-week shut at Maryvale mill; works planned are part of $200 million, five-year investment

MT. WAVERLY, Australia , Aug. 6, 2018 (Press Release) -Australian Paper’s Maryvale Mill will begin its planned annual shut today, halting production for the next four weeks to allow completion of important maintenance and capital works. Major works planned for the shut are part of a $200 million, five year capital investment program currently underway at the facility.

Australian Paper General Manager – Manufacturing Adrian Berton said the planned 26 day annual shut would be one of the longest in Australia Paper’s 81 year history at the site.

Aardvark Straws came to Fort Wayne a little over 10 years ago and began manufacturing paper straws in 2007 when its parent company, Precision Products Group Inc., which manufactures small-size cylindrical tubing solutions, was asked to make a more environmentally friendly straw.

Business has picked up in the past two to three years, especially as of late.
