EBRD to provide Euro 10 million loan to Kyiv CPM

KIEV, Ukraine, July 13, 2018 (Press Release) -Kyiv CPM signed a contract with EBRD to provide a €10 million loan to the mill. The funds will be used for purchasing new equipment to expand production, implementation of EU standards and CO2 emissions reduction.

At the beginning of 2019 the installation of shoe press for cardboard drying is planned, this will allow KCPM to reduce the use of steam, increase production volumes and improve the quality of coated cardboard.

HALIFAX, NS, July 12, 2018 (Chronicleherald.ca) -If the Department of Environment doesn’t give the green light to Northern Pulp’s proposed new effluent treatment plant, taxpayers may be on the hook for the lost profits of an idled mill.

That would be on top of the cost of Boat Harbour’s cleanup (the province has already set aside $133 million for remediation) and part or all of the more than $100 million estimated cost of a replacement facility.
