Starbucks reports 150% increase in reusable cup use in UK after paper cup charge

LONDON, April 26, 2018 (Press Release) -Starbucks today reveals results from the first six weeks of a three-month trial, evaluating the impact of a 5p paper cup charge in 35 stores[1] across the City, West End, and west London. Results show reusable cup usage has increased by 156.6% in the trial stores, measured by the number of customers redeeming the 25p reusable cup discount.

MADRID, Spain, April 25, 2018 (Press Release) -The agreement reached nearly a year ago with Elcogás for the purchase of the site of its GICC plant in Puertollano (Ciudad Real), and the environmental and administrative steps necessary to set up a biomass plant, ENCE Energía y Celulosa has reached an agreement to purchase the rights for installing a biomass power generation plant of 50 MW in said location. Likewise, ENCE has signed a contract with Sener for the turnkey construction of the plant.
