LONDON, April 2, 2015 (Press Release) -In 2012 the Kemsley Mill undertook a major refit of Paper Machine 3. The rebuild allowed the mill to produce a triple-ply White Liner paper, with the strength and runability of a Liner 2 and the printability of a white Kraft liner.
Pre-production testing at a pre-print house and corrugator plants showed the paper to have a printability greater than any other Liner and equal to any Kraft liners then available in the UK.Read more
MILWAUKEE, April 2, 2015 (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) - Two packaging companies, both owned by Quad/Graphics Inc., are planning to expand their neighboring facilities in Franklin, according to information filed with the city.
Transpak Corp. and Proteus Packaging Corp. both operate on World Packaging Circle, a cul-de-sac within Franklin Business Park, south of W. Ryan Road and west of S. Oakwood Park Drive. Both companies moved to Franklin from Milwaukee in 2007 and were sold to Quad in 2013.

OAKLAND, CA, April 3, 2015 (RISI) - International Paper's sale of its Carolina coated paperboard bristols brand to MeadWestvacowill give the latter control of the declining commercial printing grade, according to RISI contacts and capacity estimates.
IP said its decision to sell Carolina was a result of its plans to convert the Riegelwood, NC, mill to 100% pulp, "thereby eliminating the manufacturing capability to produce the brand."
