Tetra Pak® E3 was recognised within the Best Manufacturing/Processing Innovation category. The filling machine series uses electron beams instead of hydrogen peroxide to sterilise packaging material. McDonald's has announced that as of October 2015, all centrally-sourced packaging* that is distributed across its 38 European markets** is chain-of-custody certified, with wood fibre coming from recycled sources or forests certified to one of two globally recognized standards for responsible forest management: Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standard or a Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) national standard.Read more

BRUSSELS, (Press Release) -Food and beverage service and convenience packaging manufacturers in Europe are repeating their concern that some packaging sourced outside the EU may be putting consumers in danger. Paper packaging manufacturers in Asia tested by Pack2Go Europe in the past year was found to contain recycled fibres which are not allowed in packaging in direct contact with food and drinks according to EU rules. Recycled fibres can contain contaminants that present a danger to consumers.Read more
