UPM and Indicatorium Oy have entered into an agreement for the international commercialisation of the food freshness indicator technology developed by UPM. Food freshness indicator is a smart label that reacts to certain chemicals and helps to determine whether a food product is still fresh and safe to eat. Indicatorium is aiming to introduce food freshness indicator to the global markets. Griffin Communications and AICC were awarded with two 2014 Gold Awards by the Association of Marketing Communications Professionals. The statues, known as MarCom Awards are peer recognition by this national organization for both excellence and effectiveness in various forms of advertising, PR and promotion.
The first award was for this past spring's AICC/Paperboard Packaging Hall of Fame video honoring Jack Schwarz. A second award given to AICC and Griffin Communications for Corrugated Week¹s video Salute to Paul Vishny and his 40 years of service to AICC and the industry.
