STRASBOURG, France, Oct. 9, 2012 (Press Release) -All security papers are required to be tamper-proof, anti-counterfeit, and confidential. These features will be reflected in the new booth for Lana Papiers Bordeaux at the 25th International Security Printers Conference & Exhibition in Bordeaux, France. The paper mill sets its spotlight onto expertise and experiences in the production of security relevant papers.

From 17 - 19. October 2012 everything revolves around the different security features and techniques, which make the papers distinctive and safe. Visitors at booth D9 will learn how Lana achieves counterfeit-proof papers, with chemical treatment or by adding inclusions as visible and/or invisible fibres, dots, and internal points.

Lana specialises in creating individual watermarks. Due to its integrated watermark atelier, in-house experts supervise the progress from design to production.

Beside one fourdrinier machine, Lana owns a hybrid paper machine, which combines the two classical production types of fourdrinier and cylinder mould. This machine is one of a few cylinder moulds in the world with a machine width of more than 2 meters. This makes it possible to produce security papers in wide formats.

The French paper mill Lana Papiers Spéciaux produces and distributes graphic papers, security papers and traditional painting and drawing papers. The mill was founded in 1590 in Strassbourg and operates three paper machines with 90 employees. A sales office is located in Paris. The German artist paper manufacturer Hahnemühle FineArt holds shares in Lana Papiers Spéciaux.
