As one of the largest players in pulp, dissolving wood pulp and specialty fibre, we’re looking for smart, dedicated and dynamic managers as we expand in a sustainable way that is good for the community, climate and company.

Managers and superintendents at our dissolving wood pulp and pulp mills provide operational leadership to ensure and improve quality, cost control, safety, environmental compliance and production. Key areas include:

  • Recovery boiler, evaporation, turbines and lime kilns
  • Chemical processing
  • Fibre line (continuous and batch cooking)

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you would be responsible for:

  • Optimising equipment uptime to ensure production targets are met
  • Reviewing and improving processes to maximise production and minimise emissions
  • Prioritising scheduled shutdowns and managing other maintenance
  • Communicating with other department managers to optimise production
  • Promoting a culture of accident-free safety, teamwork and efficiency
  • Reviewing environmental compliance daily
  • Maintaining equipment management systems to improve performance and reliability

  • A minimum of 10 years in mill manufacturing processes, including three or more years as a supervisor
  • Experience with production management and maintenance management systems
  • Critical thinking, organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience
  • Strong change management and influencing skills
  • An engineering degree, preferably with a specialty in chemicals or pulp and paper
