ESPOO, Finland, April 7, 2017 (Press Release) -Valmet will supply a new Advantage ThruAir (TAD) machine for Irving Consumer Products. The new machine increases Irving's capacity for ultra-premium household paper products. The machine will be delivered in 2018, and will support Irving's ambition to provide ultra-premium products to the North American market.
The order was included in Valmet's first quarter of 2017 orders received. The value of the order will not be disclosed.Read more

FREDERICTON, NB, March 2, 2016 (Press Release) -The provincial government will issue a new Class 1 air quality approval for Irving Paper Ltd.’s mill on Bayside Drive, Saint John.
The company’s current approval expires on March 31, with the new one taking effect on April 1. It follows consultations that included a public review which ran from Sept. 23, 2015, to Feb. 1, 2016.
The mill uses the Thermal Mechanical Pulping (TMP) process to produce about 900 tonnes of pulp per day from 100-per-cent softwood.Read more

Work began on June 15 and will continue to mid-December as the company undertakes the design, fabrication, delivery, site installation, and testing of modular utility racks.
