CORNER BROOK, NF , Feb. 21, 2017 (The Western Star) -Mayor Dean Ball says it’s always good news to hear Kruger is making an investment at Deer Lake Power.

At Monday night’s public council meeting, the mayor provided council with an update of recent discussions held with Corner Brook Pulp and Paper.

He said Kruger, the parent company of the mill in Corner Brook, is planning an $8.1-million project to replace penstock No. 8 at the hydroelectricity plant located in Deer Lake this year.
