GECHINGEN, Germany and GRAZ, Austria, Feb. 1, 2017 (Press Release) -ANDRITZ MeWa, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has received an order from Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel, based in Varel, Germany, to supply a processing line for pulper rags.

Pulper rags are a very tightly entangled mechanical compound of metallic and non-metallic components formed during pulping of recovered paper or pulp in the vortex center of a pulper.

J.D. Irving pleads not guilty to pollution charges against Saint John mill in New Brunswick

SAINT JOHN, NB, Jan. 31, 2017 (CBC) -A lawyer for J.D. Irving, Limited entered not guilty pleas Monday to each of 15 pollution charges under the federal Fisheries Act related to pollution from the pulp mill in Saint John.

Charles Whelly told the court the trial will likely take about six weeks.

He declined to comment outside the courtroom.
